SAN FRANCISCO, CA, October 23, 2024-

BDS|THEM Film Festival seeks to showcase BDSM short films that center the work of queer, trans, non-binary performers and filmmakers of color. It was founded by filmmaker and performer Ramses Rodstein with the vision and hope to inspire fellow queer, trans, non-binary kinky filmmakers of color to create more BDSM films that center our communities and desires. The festival's Presenting Partner PinkLabel.TV will give accepted films the opportunity to distribute their work through PinkLabel.TV streaming platform.
The inaugural festival debuts with new films from San Francisco and beyond, and pays special tribute to the late trans filmmaker Christopher Lee. An excerpt from his 1990's gothic trans porn Sex Flesh in Blood is made possible thanks to the digital remastering and archiving by PinkLabel.TV, UCLA Film & Television Archive and the Christopher Lee Legacy Project.
This film festival is an hour and forty five minute long program of 11 BDSM short films by QTBIPOC filmmakers and performers followed by a Q&A.
